PIB Scale in Singapore

Scale in Singapore

B. Building Business officially signed the Partners for International Business covenant (PIB) Scale in Singapore.

Friday 8th December, the PIB Scale in Singapore was signed by her Excellency Ambassador Margriet Vonno and PIB secretary Ms Yeni Joseph (B. Building Business) at the Residency of the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Singapore. The Partners for International Business covenant is a public-private partnership initiated by B. Building Business. Following the successful PIB covenant Halve Maen in New York, B. Building Business decided to team up with a selection of the brightest startups looking at expanding to Asia Pacific. The PIB cluster consists of Foryard, LAB15, Appical, AppSpots, StartupAmsterdam and B. Building Business and partners with the TU Delft, the Singapore University of Technology and Design and corporate service provider Trustmoore.

The goal of Scale in Singapore is to create a soft-landing platform for expanding start- and scaleups from the Netherlands to Asia Pacific via Singapore and to position both the Netherlands and Singapore as #1 gateways to respectively Europe and Asia Pacific. With help of the other cluster-members, StartupAmsterdam and B. Building Business will replicate its SCALE (Startup Cities Alliance Europe) network in Asia Pacific, reaching out to the Asia Pacific markets and help Dutch companies with their regional business expansion after they set foot in the little red dot, Singapore. The PIB will run for three consecutive years and coincides with the set-up of B. Building Business’ third hub in Singapore, scheduled to open its doors late 2018.
